The winner will get fame and riches; the loser will be turned into a pariah and pelted with spoiled meat pies. Let's start! Jeremiah the bullfrog Froakie begins by lunging toward Grath and slamming all of his weight into him. The poor Bulbasaur topples over as his ally furiously projectile-vomits a bunch of teensy fireballs at Lief. The little caterpillar shrieks, taking a fair amount of damaging from such a weak move. Meanwhile, Grath pulls himself back up and tackles Froakie back with enough strength to smash rocks. It's super effective! Finally, deciding that he doesn't want to get hot shit spewed over him anymore, Lief spits out a string of sticky gunk that gets all over Brocke and binds his mouth shut.	-8 HP -2 EP	-6 HP -2 EP TYPE: NORMAL

CAN'T MOVE!	-11 HP -4 EP -1 SPD	A chilly wind blows through the stadium as Jeremiah sets his sights on Grath once again. The poor Bulbasaur feels his Speed drop as his body goes numb. Meanwhile, Lief once again smothers Brocke is sticky stuff; this time, it seriously impacts his ability to move. He lets out a high-pitched wail as he tries to extract his foot from the stadium floor, but it won't budge. He also tries to spit another Ember at Lief, but he can't even get his mouth open. However, the heat building up in his face melts the String Shot a little, so that's something. Grath then fires off an array of jagged leaves at Jermiah, who gets cut up real good.	-4 EP	-8 HP -4 EP TYPE: ICE

On the bright side, it helps to melt away the String Shot around his face, allowing him to spit out even more Embers at Lief. The poor buggie squeals in agony, as one does when one is set on fire. Meanwhile, Grath slaps Jeremiah with a Vine Whip. Jeremiah grabs onto the vines and tries to throw Bulbasaur, but he just doesn't have the upper-body strength. The move fails. • Welcome to our community, Brocke! You're off to a very good start. One suggestion: when you issue your attacks, make sure it's clear who's supposed to be on the receiving end. I figured your Cyndaquil was targeting Charles's Sewaddle with those Embers, but just try to specify the target next time. Otherwise, you did well!
• Random melee attacks like the grab-and-throw Charles told Jeremiah to execute can sometimes work, but it didn't work here simply because a Froakie wouldn't have the strength to pull off something like that. If he were bigger or if he actually had a real throwing attack in his arsenal, it could have succeeded

You might be thinking of a different move. Fire Blast by default only takes a single target. You could conceivably use it to attack two Pokemon at once, if they were maybe standing close enough together, but in the case of the last round you would have to specify that in your commands.
