Why hello there and welcome to a special reffing. Today we have a gym match, but it's a qualifier, meaning that if the challenger wins he will become a Gym Leader. Failing to do so however, he will stay as a normal battler. MeLo, the Gym Leader enters from the right. This is not his Gym, however, that is under construction. Instead we have this plain arena, no grass, rocks or any man made objects, just a plateau with a Pokeball insignia. Enter challenger Crimson!

"This will be a 1 VS 1 Pokemon Battle between Leader MeLo and Challenger Crimson, there is no Damage Cap and no banned moves. MeLo will use Cleffa and Crimson will use Happiny. Begin!"

And so begins the match qualifier. Both Pokemon tense themselves for a battle and shroud themselves in mystic energy. That makes Toxic redundent (thank god). And that's about it.

Cleffa begins the next section by using magical powers to increase the sun's rays. Phew, bit warm now. Happiny wipes her brow and runs circles around Cleffa to create four clones of herself. Five Happinys...oh boy.

Now with energy aplenty, Cleffa begins by gathering the sun's energy into the form of a beam. Happiny quickly begins to dance in an intricate pattern in a bid to summon clouds. She manages to make it rain...a bit too late. The beam is fired and the far left Happiny dissapated. Cleffa frowns...aw crap.

I remember eventually! We begin with Cleffa looking up at the stars and wishing he had help in this match. His call went unheard. Happiny, meanwhile, had been creating even more clones. Now eight Happiny inhabited the field. Argh!

With the Wish set, Cleffa decided to get rid of all these pesky clones. But first, Happiny put up and bright yellow wall...so did all the clones. He fired a volley a multi coloured leaves in a widespread fashion. All the clones disspated and it hit the real Cleffa. It was quite a weak hit.

Suddenly, Cleffa felt stronger. The Wish had worked and her Sp. Atk had increased. However, he didn't need said boost at the time and Happiny was already preparing another attack. He rushed at Happiny, tail glowing, and slammed into her, easily surpassing the barrier. His victory was short lived as he was hit by a (small yet strong) kanji star of fire!
