In this very plain stadium a 2 on 2 match is taking place between MLG and Chris 2.1. Chris releases his pokeballs revealing a Magnemite and a Swellow. While MLG’s release a Murkrow and a weird Grotle. Yariza the Grotle wastes no time and covers himself and Irou the Murkrow in a veil of pure energy. While from across the field, Zaapp uses its computer like brain to lock on to the flying Murkrow. After she realised she had been locked on to Irou she begins to crow obscenities at the Swellow but to no effect Noland the Swellow screams a supersonic wave which drowns out the taunt and confuses Irou in the process.

With having its target locked on Zaapp lets loose a giant burst of electricity which follows the movements of Irou before slamming into the bird. With his opponent being hit Yariza gets angry at Zaapp and buries him under a tomb of sand. Noland taking his chance swoops down and attacks Yariza before retreating back, but before he is out of sight Irou launches a toxic attack which scores a hit on him.

While Irou fires a bolt of weird energy which just strikes Zaapp but with not much force.

Small remark. How can Irou be confused, when my Grotle put up a Safeguard just minutes before the supersonic attack?

I am upping the damage a tiny bit so that matches can go faster so I have more time to deal with other matches, the reason it did so much damage is because Magnemite has a x4 weakness and it scored a nice hit since Zaapp was temporarily drained of energy as he had just fired off a huge attack, so he was more vunerable.

Safeguard only prevents Status Effects. These are:
Poison
Burn
Paralysis
Sleep
Frozen

It does not guard against temporary effects like:
Confusion
Attraction
Flinching
Trapping

Hence why the safe guard didn't stop it from getitng confused but did stop it from being Paralysed but Zap Cannon.

Ok MLG after some talking with DL it is now ruled that Safeguard will stop Confusion as well as Status effects. Currently he is rewriting the ASB attack list so when thats up we should use that as an all inclusive ruling for every attack. So in summary the changes have been made.

Magnemite does have a 4x weakness to ground but I do not condone upping the damage to 10 just so you can finish it quicker. Doubles matches are, by nature, very quick anyway so I'm sure it won't take too long. In the games Sand Tomb is like Wrap or Fire Spin, dealing a small bit of damage over 2-5 turns.

So lets say it does -4HP, that should become about -9HP or so I think because of 4x weakness. That's just how I ref quadruple weakness, the rest is up to you CEB.

Irou, immediatly use Taunt on Noland. Then wait until Noland turns (in the U turn) and hit with Icy Wind when it gets close to Yariza, try to freeze his wings. Phaze out with Faint attack when Zaapp wants to hit you with Discharge and reappear behind him to strike.

Yariza, first use Leech Seed on Zaapp, then Protect to hold the Magnet bomb and U-turn attack. Finish with Body Slam on Noland as it comes for an Airslash.

Zaapp starts this round by firing a giant bolt of lightning at Irou which strikes her causing her great pain. With Irou being shot down, Yariza fires a seed at Zaapp which lands on him and starts sucking energy. The poison still running through his veins Noland concentrates and removes the poison from his system. After being struck down she starts squawking at Noland making him very angry.

Both attacks collide on the turtle but much to the dismay of Zaapp and Noland as soon as the smoke clears they see that Yariza was covered by a green and white shield.

Starting off this round Irou looks to the sky and makes a wish causing the clouds to break and for the sun to shine down onto the field. Still caught in the giant sand storm Zaapp uses his psychic energy to remove himself from it. Just like he did before Yariza shot a seed which landed on Noland and started sucking his energy. Using his wings as a mirror like surface Noland used them to create a seed like the one Yariza produced and then shot it at Yariza.

After being struck down Irou dug her claws into the ground and flicked mud into the single eye of Zaapp. With mud impairing Zaapp’s vision, Yariza takes this opportunity to fire a beam of energy at Zaapp. But quickly intervening Noland flapped his wings with great power kicking up a whirlwind which knocks Yariza’s beam of course only grazing Zaapp.

But before he can return to his position he is struck by an icy wind which came from Irou.

Irou just laughs as she zips over to Noland and destroys all his clones with one fell swoop as well as damaging Noland. With his partner’s last attack being ruined by Irou, Zaapp fires a beam of bright lights which float across the field and makes a direct hit on Yariza who quickly responds by throwing a giant pile of sand on Zaapp.

Being knocked back by the force of the attack Zaapp manages to fire off a quick thunderbolt which scores a direct hit on Irou. Cackling with electricity Irou fires a confusing beam of light which zips across the field before slamming it into Noland confusing him for good.

With her partner seriously damaged Irou’s wings gloss over with a silvery sheen then releasing a familiar flame which engulfs the bird. Finishing off this round Zaapp fires another bolt of electricity which scores its mark on Irou.

Irou starts off the round she uses her hidden power to fire an electrical bolt which hits Noland knocking him to the ground. Regaining his position Noland uses his hot temper to fire a fiery doom towards Yariza which bathes him in fire. Using the power of nature Yariza recovers form the blow and fires a swarm of leaves which slice through the air and watches as they ravage Zaapp. With the leaves cutting his metallic skin Zaapp fires off an electric bolt which zaps Irou.
