All right Cam, that Shellder well be an easy target in that pond…

First start of with Swagger, followed by leach seed, then toxic, however should Shellder fire off any ice attacks use agility to try and dodge them.

The ref and two trainers walk onto the field to uproarious cheers. Most of the various trainers of ASB have come to watch the semi finals. The two trainers entering the arena have fought bravely to get here. Now however it is truly about strategy and if you can work with what your Pokemon can do. The ref watches as the two trainers shake hands and wish each other the best in the coming round.

The ref goes to her spot on the edge of the arena, setting up her funky folding chair and large umbrella. To her right and left are two computers. The trainers have followed her over and are imputing their various Pokemon into them. Weasel Overlord is done first, her computer beeping. Charles Legend finishes a second later. A pop up appears on Weasel Overlords saying to pick her opponent Pokemon. She quickly chooses his Treecko, Cam. Charles Legend responds by picking her Shellder, Tyrus. They then both walk to their positions, the computers withdrawing into the ground. They toss their Pokeballs, their Pokemon popping out and looking ready for a good fight. Charles Legend calls out his attacks, with Weasel Overlord thinking for a bit before replying.

A bit of the arena collapses a level and slides in on itself. After a solid click his heard a pool raises itself up into the open area. Tyrus happily hops into the water, albeit clumsily. Cam is first off and starts to strut his stuff back and forth. Tyrus is captivated for a second but manages to slam his shut closed, and not watch his opponent. Cam is a little ticked himself that his attack did not succeed and spits a seed at his opponent. Tyrus follows his instructions and does not open his shell the tiniest margin. The result is that the seed lands on him but is unable to find a foothold and falls off, useless.

Cam is really ticked now but is unable to spit his poisonous bundle at Tyrus. He watches as the shell starts to chant to the sky, spinning in the water. He looks up and noticed the clouds starting to form an anvil shape. He widens his eyes and as the first hunks of ice hit the ground he starts to zip around. He does succeed is missing most of the ice chunks. A few graze him and his winces as the cold damages his plant like skin. His foe is not as lucky as a few chunks hit him head on.

Start the round with a Supersonic and follow up with an Ice Beam. But only come out of your shell long enough to perform the attack, for you should finish the round with a Withdraw.

Cam quickly jumps into the battle by setting up a orbit of glowing balls around himself. He takes a bit to concentrate, but soon the formations of the two spheres can be seen. Now Safeguard does not protect against confusion but it did not matter anyway. Tyrus peak out of his shell and started to screech rather loudly. Thankfully for Cam he wasn’t aiming to carefully and he missed him. It gave all the viewers and poor participants a headache though. Cam slams his hands over his ears, in a vain attempt to drone it out. It stops abruptly and Cam rubs his head, getting even more irritated at Tyrus.

The next attack is aimed much more carefully. Tyrus opens his shell and makes a globe of cold white energy form in front of it. Cam quickly breathes deep and starts to form his own attack in response. The both let go at the same time. The Ice Beam slams into Cam’s oncoming pinkish crackling Dragonbreath. They meet and are equal for a few seconds before the icy power of Tyrus’s attack overcomes Cam’s. It is however much weakened when the attack hits him. It does moderate damage, compared to what it could have done.

Tyrus firmly locks up his shell, proecting him from most attacks. Cam, no matter how much he wants to hit the shell upside the head, concentrates on the sky. He does not want to face another hail bout. He calls to the sky, and makes his own praying gestures, pleading with whatever sun gods there are to let the Sun come forth. The answer is yes, and the storm clouds are whisked away. The Sun shines out in full glory.

These two Pokemon are very fond of warping the weather this round. The systems surrounding the stadium will surely be very screwed up for a couple of days after the match. Tyrus is very worried about being blasted by focused sunlight so he starts to chant to the sky, calling upon his foul weather friends once again. Cam does not like this. It means he has to wait a turn to power up! That is simply not going to happen, so he starts his own chant. The clouds build and weaken, become fluffy and disappear all together, when both Pokemon finally stop a swirling cauldron of clouds with a very bright center is over them. The clouds look prone to start dropping ice blocks at any moment.

The competitors, spectators and ref look to the sky with a mixture of curiosity and fear. The competitors get out their sturdy umbrellas and the ref reinforces hers. They aren’t quite sure what this spinning, Day After Tommorrowesc hole in the sky will produce. It does work for Cam though. He is standing in the circle of strong sunlight and quickly powers up his Solarbeam. Tyrus decides that perhaps leaving the weather alone would be a good idea, and forms an impenetrable shield. The beam of sunlight slides through the air and slams into his shield; the shield actually bends a little, but keeps the Shellder safe.

Both Pokemon look at the sky but acquiesce to their trainers requests. Tyrus starts with trying to make it rain, but Cam quickly counters with making the Sun come out. They fight each other and the weather for control. They end up with much the same result, except it does rain when they are finished, but only in the circle of dark clouds surrounding a circle of very strong sunlight. The whole mess spins slowly, and nubs appear along the edges of the storm clouds. Looking vaguely like the beginnings of tornadoes . . .

Tyrus decides to listen to his trainer and ignore the weather, no matter how strange it may be. He starts to form a ball of ice energy in front of his shell. Meanwhile Cam has started to strut up and down the arena, using various hand gestures and words to get Tyrus's attention. It works and Tyrus starts to get furious. How dare Cam say he is no better then a just born Magikarp! Tyrus actually hisses at Cam. His attack is almost fully formed so he gleefully exploded it towards Cam. It flies at the grass type and slams him right in the face. Cam is set head over tail and as he skids to a stop, it is obvious Cam is going to have some trouble in future rounds. His mouth has been frozen shut.

Tyrus can't get over what Cam sad and so hops over to Cam, hissing and muttering various unmentionable curses at Cam. Cam is scrabbling at his mouth; thankfully the attack did not cover his nostrils. Tyrus gets to Cam's side and slams into him, pinches him with his shell and various other slightly painfully things. This wakes Cam out of his furious scratching and he makes his hand glow and spark with electrical energy before slamming him. Tyrus screeches, and is even angrier.

Tyrus is to furious with rage to do any more then slam Cam in various places, totally incoherent and unable to listen to his trainer's orders at all. He is hissing, spitting and inflicting all manner of unpleasantness upon Cam. Cam is slightly amused, if annoyed with the pinches and slams. He tires to Mimic Tyrus, but all he does it learn how to pinch most effectively . . . When they both stop, they are both heaving, Tyrus still hissing at Cam.

The rain is pooring as Cam and his trainer have a most interesting bond as Cam exchanges a few words with him . . . some how through his frozen mouth. He has his orders and he sets about them. He is most definitely going to try and take Tyrus down with him. He covers himself with an eerie dark aura. It is so black, all light is sucked into it, and nothing can be seen past its flickering flames. Tyrus is still extremely angry at Cam but decides maybe doing his trainers attack is a good idea. It will do double damage. He clacks his shell, which odd sounds like a witch cackling. He covers himself with a red glow, wanting to deal massive damage to Cam. Cam sweeps in and slams Tyrus with impressive force, so much force he manages to get past the small opening in his shell, and hit the fleshy Pokemon inside. Tyrus screeches and blasts Cam with his Bide. The powerful attack sends Cam skidding across the field.

Tyrus is in to much pain to be any bit coherent again. He hops over to Cam and does another round of pinches and slams. He is spitting small globs of water that do almost nothing against Cam. Cam meanwhile is getting annoyed. He ignores the Pokemon as best he can and forms his spooky aura again. He retaliates against the annoying Shellder, funnelling the dark aura into his fist and punching him. He gets some recoil, hitting a shell hurts. Said shell is sent flying, slamming into the center of the arena. So hard his shell clacks together, he opens said shell and screams in his fury.

Shellder beats speed records with his hopping, skidding and any odd thing to get over to Cam as fast as possible. He is screeching now, hissing is just to calm for him. He is clacking his shell and slams into Cam hard. He pinches Cam’s arm and Cam beats his own record for fastest Shadow Rush power up. He hits Tyrus with his left arm this time, and again gets recoil. The shell is not thrown as far, and the skid to a stop. He skids far enough to be out of the rain and into the sunlight. It knocks a bit of sense into Tyrus. Not much, but he does calm down some.
