We still play Kimble (the Finnish licence of Trouble) here.
And Sequence, too.
Are there any board games you enjoy playing with family, friends... maybe your children?
My friends and I play Scotland Yard now and then. It's very old by now but still fun from time to time. Running around London as police officers, trying to find the elusive Mr. X. Requires quite a bit of coordination and tactics. Well, and some luck too.

I didn't even know it can be done with up to ten players!!
I used to like playing Monopoly with my father (there were occasional times his father would play with us as well), though these days my interest in board games has started to wane. There are times I like to play Blokus however.

I forgot chess. I even used to post my games on Facebook, but I must say I'm not good at it. I know how to remove the pieces and even end up in draw sometimes, but I just can't do a checkmate when the level of my opponent is too high. I have given up reading chess books, I insist the best way to learn is to play.
I used to play chess quite a bit with my father when I was little but I never got too good at it honestly.

My fam used to play an obscure Canadian game called Poleconomy fairly often. It's actually really good, but a bit of a time investment.

Hmm, might as well check it out then."Boardgamegeek only gives it 2.5 out of 5 stars! I bet it's too complicated."
Blokus is a fairly easy game to learn, but it's not easy to win. As a matter of fact, the first time I played it, me and my opponent played the game the wrong way (I didn't tell her yet). The right way to play the game involves making sure no pieces of the same color touch anywhere adjacently, except in the corners. Fortunately that rule doesn't apply for two pieces of different colors.
