I nickname them all! It gives the Pokemon a more personal feel.

I nickname all my pokemon. I nickname my team members so the opponent can't tell what they are when I'm switching (assuming that stil works in these games, lol) and 'cause I like to name them. And I nickname my other pokemon by a variation of their own name so I can A: find them and B: tell them apart easier. For example I know for a fact my ziggy knows three HMs and the other zigzagoons don't. I could just check instead I know but I'm lazy

For me, it's a MUST to nickname my pokemon, I tend to sort of "bind" with them better and get into the game more that way....kind of like a "hert of the cards" thing...except no cards.

I nickname all my lvl 100 pokemon. This personalize them. My Milotic is no simply my Milotic. Is Europa, the Raven`s Mylotic. This is good for they to be remebered by others trainers you battled in link cable. Forgive my english, I`m not to good in this.

I've done that! I nicknamed them all the names of other pokemon once too, and left a few with normal names. That really messes with your opponent's head And some really awesome names are kewl too. Like Deltaforce for my old Alakazam, Tombstoner for my old Gengar, Landscaper for my Golem and (I forget this one...) for Machamp. Heh, I had a trade evolution team on Blue version

A bellossom? How about Nina, Petal, Rose, Kira, Lily, hmm... I'll try and think of more later.

Once I traded my brother a bulbasaur and nicknamed it bulbasaur and my brither leveled it into an ivysaur and was really mad, because it was still called bulbasaur. It was really funny.

I only nick name a Pokémon unless I really like it, or one just sort of jumps out at me. Like I named my Ho-Oh Fawkes and my Lugia Elrond.

Also I will be naming my Sableye Gollum when I catch it.

As for Blaziken, I think I will be calling it either Loki (the Norse god of fire,) or Feanor, an ancient character from the First Age of Middle Earth. He made the Silmarils, see The Silmarilion. This will be rather weird 'cause my Torchic is a girl. Of course, I may just make one up, I'm rather good at that.

I name my Blazikens "Ringo", like after the famous Beatles drummer. The reason: Blaziken, IMHO, looks like a cross between Osiris and the 70's.

I name Cradily "Strong-Mad", because its cry sounds a little like Strong Mad from Homestarrunner.com saying "Yellow Dellow", like in that "Deleted scenes" clip.

I named Rayquaza "Omega" for obvious reasons.

I name my female Aggron "Ferra", becase the greek word for Iron is "Ferrum" and a magnetic material is called "Ferrite". Ferra just gives it a feminine twist.
