Hello people of the Pokemon Community, this week's card of the week is none other than Dark Scizor!
This Pokemon came out during the Neo Destiny edition, along with the other new Dark and Steel type Pokemon. This Pokemon is, as you can see, a steel typed card. It bears the old school weakness for fire, meaning if its hit by a fire attributed card it takes double the damage. But because of its steel type, it gains a resistance to grass. Scizor is the evolved form of Scyther, who in card form always has a steady 60-70 hit points anyway. Evolving your Scyther into a Dark Scizor adds a retreat cost, if not two. And depending on what Scyther you're using, the attack Slash not only does the same damage, but now it costs three colourless energies instead of the one colourless and one leaf. However; if you're using an earlier Scyther card, it'll be the same price and the same amount of damage. There are of course, a few Scyther cards that will benefit from this evolutions. The trick is to find the right one.
Scizor has a non-damaging move that is pretty interesting, and rather handy if you're running a Deck-Out deck or are facing a Gym Leader deck. You flip a coin and if heads, look at your opponents hand. If she or he has any trainer cards, you choose one and they shuffle it back into their deck. They cannot look while they shuffle, the cards must not be visible while the shuffling is going on. They do not get to draw a new card either. Once its gone, its gone.
If you think Scizor is the right card for you, expect to pay 8 to 12 dollars for one, as it is halo, and you'll prolly want one in good condition.
That’s all for this week! Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you Saffire Persian. (Complete list coming soon)
