Well. Since I lost everything, I had to restart my Ruby some times recently. So, while I get the one-shot Pokémon so I can transfer to LG, then start my Ruby and make it my main Game, and then getting everything from LG and restarting and... you know the drill. I saw this topic and though: Wynaut? Ehhh... I mean: Why not? I've always been interested on trying a Monotype, but the slow-mo nature of the old games made me stay away. But now I'll give it a shot.
I choose Water. I know it's one of the easiest, if not the easiest Monotype, but it's just to get used to it. I've started it, and I like it so far. So, here's my first log:

Water Challenge
Log #1: Littleroot Town - Rustboro City.
Obviously, I started with Mudkip as I got to know my new hometown. I saved Birch with the help of Mudkip and then went on to battle May. Her Treecko proved to be decent, but my Mudkip stood out at the end.
As I got the Pokédex and five Poké Balls, I started the long path of a Trainer. I used my trusty Mudkip to catch a Zigzagoon, whose destiny was to become an HM Slave. Then, I got on my roll of a Water Trainer and went to Route 103, where I patiently looked for a Wingull. As I found one, I caught it. I trained Wingull some Levels before taking on the Trainers on Route 102. I took them all with my two partners as they grew some levels.
After a short stroll, I got into Petalburg City, where I met my dad in the city's GYM. There, I met Wally and helped him on catching his first Pokémon: Ralts. I then went back with dad, and I found to my dismay that I was too weak to take him on now. So, I followed suit and kept on going.
I went through Route 104 and I defeated two Trainers in my way. I then got immersed into Petalburg Woods. I defeated a Bug Catcher and then met a curious guy that looked for Shroomish. Then, a shady character appeared and stalked the poor man. The man begged for my help and I battled that shady guy, who turned out to be a Team Magma member. His Poochyena was easy prey for my Lv.9 Wingull. The man thanked me with a Great Ball and ran to Rustboro, as the goon said he was after something there. I crossed the last straw of Petalburg Woods, beating a Trainer in the proccess.
I went through the other half of Route 104, defeating some Trainers and getting stronger. I then arrived to Rustboro City at last. I trained heavily before taking on Roxanne. For that, I went into Route 116 and defeated all Trainers there. I checked Rusturf Tunnel, but it was a dead end. I got back to Rustboro and defeated the two Trainers in the GYM. I refrained to confront Roxanne, so I went into Route 116 and trained my first partner: Mudkip. He was already strong, but I trained him enough to make him evolve. As my Mudkip became a Marshtomp, I was ready to take on Roxanne.
Roxanne proved to be an easy challenge. Her Geodude was easily defeated by Wingull, but Nosepass was another issue. I used some Growls to make it weaker, but its Rock Tomb was really strong. As Wingull fell, I sent out Marshtomp. It took a few Water Guns and a final Mud Shot to defeat Nosepass. Roxanne was impressed, and entrusted me with my first Badge. I then got out to find the Magma member running away with something. I met the same man of Petalburg Woods, as he begged me to recover his Goods from the Magma Grunt.
I went all the way through Route 116, and I found that the Grunt was inside the Tunnel. I got inside, and took him on with Wingull, whom grew to Level 15. The Grunt escaped, but returned the Goods and released his hostage: a small Wingull. An old man came in and took the Wingull with him, introducing himself as Mr. Briney. I then made way back to Rustboro.
The man thanked me with another Great Ball, and took me inside Devon Corp. building. There, I met Mr. Stone, whom commended me to a mission. He gave me a PokéNav, and showed his trust on me. I then got out. Near the exit of Rustboro, I found May. She's struggling too, and told me she met Mr. Briney at Petalburg Woods. With that in mind, I knew my next destination, but I thought it was important to take a short rest...
Next target: Mr. Briney's. He might help me on going forward.
