Video game sales figures for the week of August 8-14 have just been released, and according to a translation of Media Create's sales figures by Ishaan of Siliconera, 3DS title Pokémon Rumble Blast (known as Super Pokémon Scramble in Japan) was second during its Japanese release week with over 86K units sold. Only PSP game Monster Hunter Diary G, at over 98K, sold more. Pokémon Black and White also made the top 20 list, holding the 19th spot with over 10K sales.
3DS hardware sales have also seen a boost after the worldwide price drop (see our previous story), with just over 196K units sold. Sony's PSP had about 40K sales, meaning that approximately five 3DS units were sold for every one PSP.
It should be noted that some of the below sales figures are lower than Nintendo's official reports. While a complete translation of Media Create's standards for counting sales is unavailable, some have speculated that Nintendo reports units shipped, while Media Create gives units sold to consumers.
