I named my male Totodile Crocopuffs
Hello, twelve year old thread! You're damn right I name all of my Pokemon. Makes insignificant little bits of data seem much more important.
I don't nickname every Pokemon I catch but I name a majority of them. My favorite themes are puns and wordplay, parts of Eggs moves bred on, and names based on the Pokemon themselves. Some personal favorites of mine are Missing Keys the Klefki, F. (for Furious) George the Mankey/Primape, Xerox the Ditto, Cassandra the Absol, Marjory the Garbodor, Pincushion the Cacnea, Sailor Moon the Cresselia, Chatty Cathy the Chatot, and Calle Marie the Inkay/Malamar.

Helga: So I'm NOT Kate Moss.
Milo: Kate Moss isn't stuck in a sewer.
Helga: Gee. I don't know. When you really think about it, is there any sewer bigger than the world of professional modelling?

PM me and I'll add you!
I never named any of my pokemon. I also found it easier to keep track of what I have if I don't name them.
1) There's no excuse for laziness, but I'm working on it!
2) I will live forever or die trying
3) It's only funny until somebody gets hurt...............then it's hilarious
I nickname all except the legendaries.

I nickname them all. No exceptions.
i nickname all my pokémon, with the exception of pikachu. I don't know why, just seems wrong somehow lol.
Pokémon Y
Raichu = Raichu (ehh still felt weird giving it a nickname even though I evolved my pikachu lol)
Creed = Lucario
Battletoad = Greninja
Balerion = Charizard
Clone Wars = Mewtwo
Oblivion = Yveltal

I don't nickname any, excluding the ones I get in trades.
The Hero of Hyrule.
I nickname all of the ones that I can.
Here are my favorites:
Charizard (charizard Y) = Ringo
"Here comes the sun..."
Sandslash = Shubo
During my runs of Black 2 and X I had a sandslash that, for some reason, I randomly named "Shubo."
I don't know/remember why I named him shubo, but the name seemed to fit in a way.
Gardevoir/Gallade = Rosalinda/Ross (dependant on gender of course)
Another name I randomly rolled with that seemed to fit, you know?
Omastar = Blasphemy
I have a friend IRL that I play pokemon with, and he got an omastar before I did, and he called it helix before I could.
I thought it would be blasphemous if I named mine helix.
Tentacruel = Xell
The first Perfect IV poke I was able to breed. I considered naming her "Cell," in reverance to perfect cell from DBZ
However, my tentacruel was a female. So I replaced the C with an X for a gender neutral spin on it, not to mention the letter "X" in some fonts can look like a DNA strand
My absolute favorite, though, is my feraligatr. I spent a lot of time breeding this one. It's Sheer force, Naive nature, with Dragon Dance and life orb.
It was a tough road to breed this pokemon, but he overcame the odds to come into the ring to shine like the star he is.
Because of all that, I figured I had found a perfect name,
and his name is...
walked right into that one BTPoke lol

When I first played Pokémon Yellow (which was my first game) I gave nicknames to my Pokémon but never again since then. I just use way too many different ones and would always forget which ones were which - in the original games you didn't have those nice little images of the Pokémon in the select screen to help you.

So you name your Pokemon after Tailed Beasts? Too bad you can only have 6 Pokemon at a time in your team.
I myself used to name my Pokemon, mostly Japanese stuff but then I stopped, I don't remember why.
I usually have more than 6 Pokemon I'm actively training. I rotate them, and it takes longer to train them, but I can't stick to just 6.
Anyway, I do nickname every Pokemon I train... But I haven't played any of the games this forum is about!
