Dratini

Zofis
Ability: Shed Skin
Pachirusu
Female
Ability: Volt Aborb
Butterfree (Male)
Ability: Tinted Lens
Charmander
Female
Ability: Blaze
Field: Optional
Banned moves: None
Special Rules: Would prefer a more offensive battle so you will have access to all attacks that do direct damage but attacks such as Sleep Powder, Stealth Rock etc. or defensive moves would be limited to just four such moves per pokemon (though they may be used as many times as deemed necessary)

Yes please. And if you would like to choose a field that would be great too. Additionally you may go first.

Hmmm, the field... How about a old basketball field (court)?
The surface is nice and flat, but the hoops are still there. It`s very sunny, but the weather changes quickly.
I`ll attack first when we find someone to ref this.
Also, I know you said the defensive moves will be limited to four per Pokemon, but still, could you ban attract? It can be a really bitchy move.

Bump, still looking for a ref.
Just a clarification before I take up reffing this or not, are all four Pokemon out and fighting at the same time, or is it just the normal 1 on 1 with each trainer using 4 Pokemon?
Just the normal 1 on 1.

Alright then, now that that's been cleared up, I call dibs on reffing this.
Go ahead and assign your attacks EraGam and firepokemon

Um ok then. I will start with Pachirisu.

Ok, start with leech seed then go with energy ball and end with dig. If the leech seed misses on the first turn, use it again on the third round. If he protects on any turn, use double team.
Right Pachirisu step on up. Start with Super Fang and then do Gunk Shot and finally use U-turn and switch in Butterfree.

Welcome one all to this intriguing matchup between a greenhorn trainer and a member of the old guard! firepokemon VS. EraGam, coming up after these mess--oh we're starting now? The trainers seem to have issued their commands and are now shouting at me to start the match. Uh...OK let's get to it then!
Pachirisu starts things off by charging toward Arnov, her fangs glowing. Arnov concentrates hard and...oh my, is he going to take a dump right here and now?! Oh man this is going to get nast---wait, no he shoots out multiple seeds from his tail instead, vines sprouting out. Pachirisu opens wide and chomps right down on the seeds, zooming past it and taking a huge bite out of Arnov's head!

Pachirisu looks to continue the assault---wait, is she coughing? Looks like Pachirisu's trying to clear her throat and---oh dear God, is she going to hock a loogie?! Apparently she does, as the glob of gunk comes flying out of her mouth towards Arnov, striking him squarely in the face. I think I'm gonna be sick and Arnov looks the same as well. Arnov retaliates by weakly firing back a glowing ball of nature energy, which Pachirisu barely seems to feel.

The seeds sprout out vines, which proceed to swarm and cover over Pachirisu, who's starting to feel a bit weaker now. Fortunately for her, the weakness proves Arnov's folly as she smacks him again up the head with her tail, using it to bounce off Arnov and acrobatically flip backwards. She starts glowing as she returns back to this trainer, who sends out a majestic-looking Butterfree in her place. And Arnov's not gonna like that at all one bit.

–Poisoned Pokemon will lose -3% Health every round until cured, the Pokemon is switched or faints

Last edited by Perfect Chaos; 5th May 2012 at 01:49 AM. Reason: Pachirisu =/= Emolga X_X;
Before we issue our next attacks, I just want to ask:
1) From when does Pachirisu have wings?
2) How will you ref the Leech seed? Is it still stuck to Pachirisu, or will it disappear when she gets send out again?
3) It hasn`t been specified in the rules, but are we allowed to switch?
4) Isn`t 3% a little bit high for a poison? I mean, the u-turn did 6% damage, that`s only double to what the poison did.
5)What is the weather?
Don`t get me wrong, I`m not complaining. I`m just wondering
Last edited by EraGam; 4th May 2012 at 10:16 AM.
1) Holy friggin cripes, I got Pachirisu confused with Emolga and I dunno why I managed to confuse the two. I'll go back and edit the reffing in a minute
2) I ref Leech Seed as a status condition. So now that Pachirisu switched with Butterfree, she's free from it and will have to have it applied to her again later on in the battle.
3) Yes, you're allowed to switch Pokemon during the battle, but it'll cost you one action during the Round. Make it count!
4) I've looked around some threads and the normal consensus for Poison is usually around 2-3%, so I feel that is fair unless a Head Ref wants to come in and change it?
5) Weather is normal at the moment. I know you said that it is very sunny in your intro, but it's a basketball court so normally Sunny Day conditions wouldn't apply automatically in this case due to the location.
Ok, thanks for clearing that up. No need to change the poison damage, you`re the ref, so you decide the damage, it just seems weird that the poison damage is half the u-turn damage, but this is based on the anime not the games, a lot of things work differently here, so I guess that was my mistake
Right Butterfree it seems we miss one move due to U-turn.
But begin with Quiver Dance and then launch Bug Buzz.

And we're back here on Friday Night Smack--oh sorry, wrong channel. Welcome back ladies and gentlemen. We're getting set for Round 2 in our battle between a trainer who seems confused on the type of Pokemon he uses (a firepokemon using a Bug-type? Oh the irony...) and our resident newbie, EraGam! The commands have been issue so let's get under way!
Arnov, still highly pissed at that screwy squirrel for pulling a fast one on him, charges forward at Butterfree, his body flipping and turning in the air as his claw rakes through the butterfly Pokemon with sky blue energy. Butterfree begins to hone his mind and spirit with an elegant set of movements that resemble...a mating ritual?! Sorry buddy, don't think Arnov rolls that way!

Arnov looks quizzically at Butterfree and again charges toward Butterfree, acrobatically soaring through the air and raking his sky blue energized claw against Butterfree's wings. Yeouch! Well, looks like Arnov is in the clear this round, so far having faced no retaliation from Butterfree--but wait, it seems the calming effect from those synchronized movements seems to made Butterfree even faster than before! He proceeds to start flapping his wings rapidly, emitting waves of light green energy that zoom toward Arnov! However, Arnov already had sensed a great disturbance in the balan---crap, sorry wrong game again. He times the arrival of the sonic waves perfectly and deftly moves out harm's way, his confidence rising.

Happy Cinco de Mayo folks! Today is a great day for---what? NO! IT'S NOT CELEBRATED AS A DAY WHERE YOU PUT MAYONNAISE IN A SINK, THE HELL'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?! MORONS, THE LOT OF YOU!
*clears throat* ANYWAYS, now that that's been cleared up, let's celebrate with good beer, cheap women and continuation of this match-up! The commands have been issued so let's get underway with Round 3!
Butterfree starts off the round by nimbly moving about and flapping her wings at supersonic speed, sending out yellowish-green colored shock waves that assault Arnov full on, knocking him off his feet! Arnov is slow to get back up but retaliates by...doing a mythical battle dance? Looks like Arnov DOES indeed roll that way as he's reciprocating Butterfree's earlier mating ritual. In the words of the immortal George Takei "Ohhhhh myyyyy!" As a result of his new found dance moves, Arnov seems to gain a little more combat ready.

Oh man, I think he's going to use the hoop for his next attack! Wait---is he just perched on the hoop and not doing anything? Arnov also seems to want to take a reprieve this round as well, his tail beginning to glow white as his body begins to absorb the sunlight to help replenish his vitals, glowing a soft yellow color.

Annnddddd we're back to this epic struggle between good and evil...not really just another fight for survival between a butterfly and a gecko, go figure. But, things are starting to get interesting! The trainers have issued their attacks and let's get Round 4 underway!
Butterfree, taking advantage of his speed boost, begins his familiar rapid flapping of his wings as they begin to glow red and red-colored shockwaves are sent forth, slamming into Arnov and he looks to be visibly weakened by the assault. Arnov readies himself and again slams his tail into the ground, sending out an underground shockwave through the court, causing large pieces of the asphalt to rise up and slam into Butterfree, surrounding and trapping him!

However, Arnov deftly avoids the purple blob as he jumps into the air and starts twisting and turning in many variations before slamming into Butterfree's head and bouncing off and double front-flipping and landing perfectly onto his feet. I give that routine a perfect 10!.

Butterfree is steaming over his rock trap problem but manages to focus himself and fire off a rainbow-colored beam of energy that hits Arnov squarely in the back. The battle is heating up, as these fierce competitors get set for another round of brutal beatdown. The attacks have been ordered and the Pokemon are bearing down on each other. Let Round 5 commence!
Butterfree starts things off with his body glowing a light green color. I think he's powering up for a massive finish! Oh this is going to get mess---wait, is that force field? So much for the massive finish on Arnov. Arnov merely smirks at the butterfly's defensive move and looks toward the sun as his tail begins to glow and his body shimmers in a soft yellow light, restoring his energy. But as soon as it the glow fades, he begins to pant harshly, the recovery taking much of his energy. Don't think he'd have the chance to do that anymore.

Butterfree, looking a bit weakened from wasting his energy on the protective shield, shakes off the dizziness he's feeling and powers up again, his wings glowing a bright, crimson red and shooting out red-colored shockwaves toward Arnov. Arnov begins to glow with a whitish-orange energy that crackles all around him and charges forward to meet Butterfree head-on. There's a massive explosion as both the attacks manage to connect head-on, smoke rising up from the middle of the court!

After the smoke clears, the two Pokémon are at a standstill, both still reeling from the previous attacks. Arnov is panting heavily, while sweat is visibly trickling down from Butterfree. Arnov weakly gets up, his body glowing with potent green energy and rushes forward, jumping ontop of Butterfree and holding onwards, leeching energy from the butterfly Pokemon using his hands and feet and slightly restoring himself some needed health, while Butterfree tries his best to shake off the tree gecko.

The end approaches for these brawling Pokemon. Arnov is at the limits of his power, but is it possible he pulls out an epic comeback in the round to come? Let's find out as Round 6 commences!
Butterfree starts off with a familiar move as his wings begin to glow a crimson color by rapidly flapping his wings and the buzzing sound of crimson shockwaves and shot forth at Arnov. Arnov begins by plucking a leaf from his tail and begins to play a soothing melody, but the gentle tune is blocked out in sound by the harsh buzzing of Butterfree's wings flapping! The shockwaves find their mark on Arnov, slamming him into the ground!

Arnov is slow to getting up, but grits his teeth as he does so, propping himself up with tail, his body glowing a bright, verdant green color. Butterfree, still wondering to himself how the friggin hell this lizard is still alive, continues the assault with more flapping of his wings at high speed, sending out more crimson shockwaves towards Arnov. Arnov digs down deep as his tail begins to glow a bright yellow-ish color as leaves begin to form around him. He cries out in a loud voice and a large cyclone of leaves if formed and shot straight through towards Butterfree! The cyclone of leaves tear through the shockwaves the bug was buzzing and slams into him, sending Butterfree flying away and down onto the ground! However, that last attack did quite a number on Arnov and he is looking immensely weak at the moment.

Butterfree, seemingly reaching his limits on strength, wonders how it's possible that his attack was deflected back so easily. Using his body as a weapon, he powers up another attack, a rainbow-colored ball of energy begins to form in his mouth and is launched again toward Arnov. Arnov, sensing the end was near for him, concentrated as hard as he could muster, his tail glowing a familiar soft yellow color as leave began to form once more around him. He cries out one last time, giving his all into this attack as the storm of leaves blows forward toward Butterfree. The rainbow-colored beam of energy dissipates as the leaves storm through and slam into Butterfree once more, but with less power than before. Arnov drops to his knees and falls forward, unable to continue the battle.

Right, I choose Ricky my Cydaquil (male, blaze).
Use Flamethrower ~ Flamethrower ~ Flamethrower
If she tries to use a status inflicting move, switch to protect.
Right Butterfree we're going to take advantage of your Tinted Lens ability and use Bug Buzz, Signal Beam and Bug Buzz.

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen! Kudos to our previous participant, Arnov, for putting up quite an effort against Butterfree, though he sadly was not able to pull out the comeback. EraGam thinks for a bit before he sends out his next Pokémon, the Pokéball releasing a flash of light and out appears...a Cyndaquil! Looks like he's just coming from a long nap...but why are his eyes closed? Does he really think he can take down Butterfree with his eyes closed?! Talk about overconfidence much! The attacks have been ordered by the trainers so let's get underway with Round 7!
Butterfree, still reeling from putting everything against his last opponent, manages to again flap his wings rapidly, releasing out some more red sonic waves toward Ricky, slamming into him and partially waking him up from his post-nap. Oh damn, he doesn't look happy at that. Ricky mewls out in anger at being disturbed from his awesome nap and flames begin shooting out from his back as he powers up and launches an impressive stream of fire directly at Butterfree, scorching up the poor butterfly Pokemon.

Butterfree is all but down and out at this point and manages to only power up a feeble attempt of Signal Beam, the beam of rainbow-colored energy flying a few meters before dissipating. Ricky looks on quizzically before firing off another stream of fire, torching Butterfree and effectively knocking him out of this match-up. The scores are now tied at 1 knock-out a piece!

Come back in Pachirisu.
Start with Super Fang to take a good share of his HP away and follow that up with Rain Dance. Take advantage of Rain being in effect by using Thunder.

Throw a smokescreen at Pachirisu to dodge the Super fang. After she uses Rain dance, use Sunny day. Finally go with inferno while she focuses on the thunder.
