    Default DeepSeaTooth and DeepSeaScale...

Is there ANY way to get more of these items? I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to Pokémon, so I want to be able to actually get both Huntail and Gorebyss in R/S, FR/LG, and Emerald. Tedious, I know, but it's just something I feel I have to do.

Meh, unfortunately, you can only get your choice of 1 of either the DeepSeaTooth or DeepSeaScale on every Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald game. There is no other way to get one, outside of using a cheating device. You will not find these items attached to any other wild Pokémon, and they do not appear in the other games, like FireRed/LeafGreen/Colosseum. So, there really isn't a whole lot you can do, if yopu want a Huntail and Gorebyss for every one of your games, you will have to use a cheating device, or just keep on restarting a Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald game until you get to the point where you can get those items, then evolve your Clamperl, and trade it to another version, until you have enough Huntail and Gorebyss for every version.

Or you could get one off a friend if they don't need it or plan on restarting their Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald.

Or you could trade the items instead of the pokémon if you aren't yet ready to evolve them (i.e. you're breeding up a good one)

No, I need them for the sake of collecting. Darn.

Well, I'm gonna ask the question of death: anyone know any codes to get more of them?

No! I beg of you, don't do it!

...But if you're going to, here's how it's done with GameShark.

    From http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbad...n_rs_na_gs.txt, a Ruby guide on gamefaqs.com:

    ---------------------
    1.3.4 PC Items Codes.
    ---------------------

If you use this code, Nintendo might know that your game has been hacked if
you get more than one unique item, or any item you can't get without codes.

These codes will only change the 1st item that is stored in the PC.

This first code will change the quantity of the 1st item in your PC to 99 :

    458DC267 EE7A6705

Use one of the following code to select the item you want to have in
the 1st Item slot of your PC :

    [...]

    DEEP SEA TOOTH
    0A6C65BA 6A8F3378

    DEEP SEA SCALE
    7980D8D4 9B19E7D1
...I'm not entirely sure how it works, so if it only gives you one of that item, then here's what you can follow up with:

    --------------------------
    1.3.1 Unlimited Item Code.*
    --------------------------

If you use this code, Nintendo might know that your game has been hacked if
you get more than one unique item.

When this code is one, the quantity of the items you have will never decrease.

You can also "dupe" items one by one by giving them to a Pokémon.

Note : This code works ONLY when you use items, not when you move them
(put in the computer) or sell them...

The code you posted replaces the first item in your PC with the item you chose. The number doesn't change, so if you use the DeepSeaScale code while the first slot of your PC holds 12 Super Potions, you will wind up with 12 DeepSeaScales and will lose the 12 Super Potions. I'd suggest buying something really cheap, like Harbor Mail, and moving that into the first slot to be replaced, then use the code.

Okay, thanks for clarifying that. I'm not too familiar with cheating devices; I just searched for this on GameFAQs. I'm nice that way.

If there was nothing in your Item PC at the start it would make the item just appear in your Item PC. If your Cheat Device is still on when you withdraw it then the item will still be there until you switch off your Cheat Device. I also recommend sharking on Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire only unless you want to start messing with the moving memory on Pokemon FR/LG/Emerald.
