I don't think so Jex, because technically, the losing Pokemon never fainted, so the winning Pokemon wouldn't have been able to gain any experience.

True, but technically, someone could forfeit right when they are about to lose, just to be mean. I'm not saying that happened the last fight (It was because the battle was pretty mismatched) but it could happen.
