EDIT: Oh, Rudy, I too have L4D2 on Steam. Except my laptop threw a hissyfit, lagged like a motherbitch, decided to give me graphics from the 90's and crash :3 So I "sold" my Steam ID to a friend, who now uses my L4D2 happily~

And yer wonder why I prefer console gaming...

In all fairness however it really doesn't take much to upgrade a computer sometimes. Plus in a few months time when Valve is done porting over the original maps from the first game I'll have them at no charge. Because of the way Mircosoft runs the XBL marketplace I've no doubt you'll be paying for all of them.

But as always to each their own. I've slowly gotten into PC gaming and while I'm starting to prefer it I'm still a console gamer at heart since I know I'm not going to have any choice but to get a new PC down the road since I've taken this one as far as I can with upgrades (I'm looking at you Skyrim!)

I'm reasonable....I'm not going to start one of those PC/console flamewars that so many other places are famous for. Both do have their merits and disadvantages.

At the very least can we agree on the fact that Blade is retar......

Don't get me wrong....love my 360/Live but compared to the PC it can be lacking at times. As for L4D2 my friends play it on the PC. Because of that in order to play with them I had to get the game on there. Plus there's the matter of it being free to play online on the PC as well as all the DLC content for that paticular game being free as well. Depending on your subscription plan Live will run you $5-$10 a month. Finally because of the way Microsoft runs things you won't be getting the additional campaigns for free either. I was able to play The Passing and The Sacrifice right out of the box. Finally if you're going to bring up the "controller>keyboard/mouse" debate don't forget that the 360 controller can be used on the PC if you've got the adapter for it.

Of course in this day and age all of this is a moot point....play what you like best. However I don't think you can deny some of the things I've brought up.

To be honest I'm not. Let's be real here folks.....when it comes to online the Wii is just lightyears behind the PS3 and the 360. I'm not even going to get into the subject of the games avalible on the Wii.

Once Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft release their next systems and we finally get into the next gen of console gaming I think many of us will look past the sales and finally admit just how lackluster the Wii really was. Hell it took me quite a few years myself to admit that while the Gamecube did have decent games that in the end it just didn't have nearly as many great titles as the PS2.

I just hope that Nintendo doesn't continue this downward trend I'm starting to notice in their consoles. Nintendo may have some of the best first party games in the business but frankly the third party offerings on the Wii have included quite a bit of shovelware :-/

I've bought and played more Wii games than I have for any of my previous consoles. Granted that was more circumstantial (lolpoor) than intentional, but the fact remains that I've never looked back on a Nintendo console in a bad way, and I sure ain't gonna start with this fun little white box.

The third-party devs who make that shovelware are more to blame than Nintendo. Only a few devs (Capcom, Retro, Grasshopper, and a few others) have tried to use the Wii's controls and new marketing approach to a pleasing effect instead of just trying to make a quick buck on some shitty Mario Party/Wii Sports ripoff or stupid simulation game.

I've got one! Except my Wii's not close enough to the router to connect to the internet here, so I can't tell ya what it is...

The Wii is like... A backup console. Not the word I'm looking for. But anyway, most people I know that have a Wii also have a 360 or PS3 (myself included). You can't rely on it for all your gaming needs (although somehow I managed for 2 years with a Wii and PS2, wut?! *has 6 PS2 games*) but it's fun. Different.

Yes, kind of.

One FC for all 3DS games and other 3DS stuff, but not sure if it's also used for all DS/DSi games played on the 3DS. My guess would be no.

I finally got around to getting an HDTV worthy of my 360 so it's hooked up in my room. Not a big shooter fan but I might get Team Fortress 2. Currently playing: Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2, Minecraft, Sonic Generations, Viva Pinata (hush). My brother owns Skyrim and Assassin's Creed 3, among others.
