According to Nintendo's Financial Results Briefing, Pokémon Black and White topped the sales charts in Nintendo software for the second quarter of 2011. The two games (counted together) sold 1.36 million copies during that time, with the vast majority of those sales outside Japan. This brings Pokémon Black and White to 12.87 million units sold since the games' release.
Only Mario Kart Wii (1.22 million), which has been bundled with new Wii consoles since May, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (1.08 million) joined Pokémon in clearing the million-sale threshold in Q2.
By comparison, six Nintendo titles cleared one million sales in Q2 last year, with Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver versions leading all handheld games with 1.69 million sales. The pair of titles represented the only Nintendo handheld game to clear one million units sold during that time frame.
