    Default Digimon: Collision (Sign-Ups Mature)

    Digimon: Collision

The year is 2047. You live in Ascension City, a gleaming metropolis of shining steel, glass, and concrete, constructed by, and the headquarters of the Lucent Corporation. You've lived here all your life, surrounded by the signs of the corporation's influence in every aspect of your daily life. But, six months ago, things changed, something new came into your life. The Digital Game, a tournament sponsored by secretive dealers, who gave you an upgrade to your Digivice, allowing the all-in-one smart-device to bring into the world a Digital Monster to be your companion, making you a Tamer. You engaged in battles, or possibly spent time getting to know your new best friend. Those who made it into the top ranks won actual prizes, expensive electronics, sports equipment, actual money. Just being a Tamer made you a superstar among your peers.

However, not all is well. Digimon have begun appearing without a Tamer to bond with, or command them, and with little regard to collateral damage. And the dealers have made these Wild Digimon high priority targets for Tamers, worth far more points than any match beyond the very strongest. And, as always, the dealers are highly evasive and impossible to pin down who they work for. So far, Wild Digimon have been taken care of before mass public witnesses, but how long can that last? Additionally, Tamers have been reporting mysterious armored figures engaging both Wild Digimon and those belonging to Tamers, some claiming these figures identify themselves as "Hunters".

Something's happening in Ascension City, raising questions you'd never seriously thought to ask before. Where did the Digivice upgrades come from? What do the dealers stand to gain from the Digital Game? And, most other trainers regard you as a bit odd when you raise the topic, but why do some Digimon seem so familiar?

    ---------------------------------------------------------
Okay, there are two Player Character options, Tamer or Hunter, both have a restricted age range for plot reasons. If you wish to submit NPC Tamers or Hunters, those are very welcome and do not have as strict an age restriction. In this setting, Digivices are a common, everyday all-in-one smart device, they can have screens, but screens aren't strictly necessary, as they can interface directly with the brain to produce an Augmented Reality display. Various forms of jewelry and decorations are common, though it needs a total mass roughly equivalent to a modern smart phone.

As a Tamer, you have a Digimon Partner, you can store your partner in your Digivice for transit. The Digivice can scan digimon encountered, and provide radar for detecting Wild Digimon, this all appearing in your Digivice's AR display. Additionally, you are able to temporarily Digivolve your partner to Champion.

Digimon partners are known to mention a 'Digital World', on occasion, but most Tamers disregard it, and even then, most Digimon partners have at best fragmentary memories of it.

As a Hunter, you were approached by a Dealer and offered a different upgrade to your Digivice, which manifests a digitally-based power armor around yourself, and you are rewarded with a cash bounty for any Digimon you take out, be it Wild or belonging to a Tamer.

When in Hunter Armor, your Digivice's AR interface is used to block out your body's normal senses, instead, it feels as if the armor is, in fact, your body. A Heads-Up display feeds all manner of useful information to the Hunter.

    Tamer:
    Name: Dana Smith
    Age: 18
    Gender: Female
Personality: Dana is typically reserved, shy even, and introverted, but generally well intentioned. She is uncomfortable with crowds, and startles easily. However, stumbling into the Digital Game has given her new drive, as she considers the Digimon to be full-fledged partners, and not tools, seeking to somehow find a peaceful solution where they may be none.
Appearance: 5'6", Dana is generally conservatively dressed, with loose fitting clothes that mask her figure and help her not stand out. She's pulled her brown hair into a ponytail and simple metal frame glasses frame her brown eyes. Her Digivice is a bracelet on her right arm.
History: Dana's never been the most sociable, despite having a loving, if perhaps slightly overprotective family. Overall she's been decidedly average, save for repeatedly waking up from nightmares she can never remember ever since she was six. She got involved in the Digital Game by apparent accident, literally bumping into one of the Dealers. She almost didn't accept the offered upgrade, but something about the idea of having a Digimon companion made her curious enough to try. Upon meeting Lalamon, and encountering other Tamers, she grew to abhor the Game itself, and seeks some method of peaceful resolution.
Digimon Partner: Lalamon > Sunflowmon > Lilamon > Lotosmon
    Relationships: Open for friends
    Other:

    Hunter:
    Name: Alexia Lucent "Hunter Umbra"
    Age: 17
    Gender: Female
Personality: Alexia is driven, seeking to master anything she tries as quickly as possible, and is gifted enough to do it. However, as soon as she reaches a level she deems sufficient, she abandons it for the next fleeting interest, with none of them truly satisfying her, though being a Hunter is proving to be the exception. Outwardly, she's smooth, reasonable, and friendly, but she lacks any true, close friends. Lions are her favorite animal, but for some reason, they make her incredibly despondent.
Appearance: 6'0", the blonde haired, icy blue eyed Alexia tends to dress based on who she's going to interact with, at school she will wear her uniform, around her father and his business friends, she will dress sharply. She doesn't favor over-accessorizing, usually her only accessory is her Digivice, triangular and hanging just above her bust. She tends to keep her appearance immaculate and well-cared for, with her blonde hair in one long braid to her waist.
Armored Form Appearance: When Armored, Alexia is covered entirely in smooth, shiny black plates trimmed with gold, no trace of her long braid to be seen coming from the smooth dome of her helmet. Mounted on the right gauntlet are three rods in a triangle around the hand, which can extend. Mounted on top of the left gauntlet is a tri-barrel auto-cannon.
Armored Form Weapons/Attacks: Distortion Cannon: the autocannon fires a burst of gold energy bolts. Impact Shocker: The rods on the right gauntlet extend, crackling with golden lightning, discharging on impact. Shocker Overcharge: Alexia has figured out how to store and build up a charge for her Impact Shocker, releasing it explosively on impact.
History: The daughter of the head of the head and owner of Lucent Corporation, Maximilian Lucent, has lived a mostly charmed life, save twelve years ago, when her mother died, and she made no public appearance for just over six months. When the Digital Game premiered, she sought out a Dealer, and was told, after a quick test, that she was 'incompatible', and could not participate. She was annoyed, and that would have been the end of it, if she hadn't been sent a message by the same Dealer two weeks ago, offering her a 'different opportunity'.
Relationships: She is... distant from her father, mostly due to him being incredibly busy. Other relationships are open.
