Huge Street Fighter announcement at Comic Con!

Well if you didn't hear the news yet then I'll just let the You Tube clip do the talking:

Two games in a new crossover series:

-Street Fighter vs. Tekken being developed by Capcom and using SF4's art style and engine (debut video above is from this game)

-Tekken vs. Street Fighter being developed by Namco Bandai and using 3D models and the Tekken 6 engine (no video as of now)

From my understanding the Tekken characters are being reworked for the SF engine on Capcom's game and vice versa. All in all I'm fully expecting both games to be great. Heh.....might have to get both if I manage to get a PS3 anytime soon XD

Thoughts?

Definitely an awesome concept. I doubt I will pick up either game because Tekken is one of the few fighting games I don't really like. I do wish success for both games because it might lead to something like Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat that's been rumored from time to time.

Well don't forget that they are not making just one game but two of them. Both will have the same characters but the Capcom developed one will be on the SF engine while the Namco version will be on the Tekken engine.

Love SF but hate Tekken? Then get Street Fighter vs. Tekken
Not a fan of over the top fighters and prefer a more realistic one? then Get Tekken vs. Street Fighter

Seems like a very simple solution for the fans of both games.

True, and if I were to get one I'd get SF X Tekken but truth be told I am still playing SF4 and haven't even upgraded to SSF4 yet.
