[DTT] Oslo vs. Cynder (Ref: Gnarls Darkly)

Welp, I have a history of scoring lame tournament pairings, so I guess this should be no different. Dame Thistlebottom (female Druddigon, Rough Skin), let's do this. Time to show off your sexy new sprite.



Hrm. Begin with a Faint Attack to evade Reshiram's first attack and strike. Follow with Glare. Finish with Sludge Bomb... and, yep, those are my wonderful commands! ;D As a sub, I guess Snatch what you can. Even if the prospect looks grim, hopefully we can at least make a decent showing!

It's the start of a new tournament here! I-for one-am excited about this, Especially since its the start of a new season and most likely a new era of ASB legends to be made!

In this preliminary round, we have Oslo and Cynder duking it out with their respective denizens of the draconian world.

Though, it's not everyday we are blessed with a Reshiram in our presence But Dame is a fearful dragon in her own right. She starts off with a immediate scan of her surroundings, just as the massive fire drake speaks. Its a powerful shockwave of energy, but its an attack that misses its mark.

In response, Dame reveals herself and drops atop Cassini with a furious rage, starting this battle off up close!

Cassini immediately pushes Dame away and keeps her away with a shield of impenetrable force.Dame tries to glare through the barrier, but the light blocks her vision just enough to mar its damning effects.

Cassini dropped her shield long enough to ready a blast all her own, but failed to note Dame's own strike. While more colorful in nature, Dame's blast still struck at home with Cassini. It grunted as the spectacular blast that she released threw Dame across the arena.

But her pure white form was draped in a sickly purple color. It disapproved, flapping her wings to rid herself of the scent.

Dame continues on her rampage, and manages to line herself up to try and stomp Cassini with her Outrageous plan. But Cass flaps once and beckons a stellar blast of energy to formulate in front-and rocket to Dame. A severe blast that knocks the dragon clear across the arena once more and leaves her sprawled out. This however, helps Dame, as that Outrage deterrent alleviates any chance of confusion she may have suffered.

With its foe away now, Cass focuses on herself. A barrier was created, in lieu of the physical nature of the Drudriggon's battle style, only to have it melt away and switch teams? Dame smirked, and relished in her new ill gotten defenses.

Rfl: 5 act

Feeling robbed (literally) Cass walked right over to Dame as Dame still toed with her new screen. That left wing rose and those claws came screeching through the barrier. The gashes they left however, were situationaly better than Dame could have received. and she responded in kind with a nasty Glare.

Not only did Cass's wing hurt (-2), but her body suddenly went through a shock

But one Outrage wouldn't have caused Confusion anyway?

No worries, though, Dame. Try Outrage again. Follow with Dragon Claw and finish with another Sludge Bomb. Snatch whatever you can.

This battle rages on, and Dame still has a few tricks up her sleeve. Cassini, spent of her offensive Draconian arsenal, focuses on the opponent instead of the obvious. So, she baits her with a second Reflect, which is effectively snatched away. Dame smirks at her apparent sneakiness, all while appreciating her new protection boost

Rfl: Additional 4 act

Cass, wary of any forward momentum that Dame might attempt, utilizes her mind to try and hold Dame back. Even with all that protection, Dame is still succeptible to the effects of a well aimed Psychic, and goes soaring back. She beats those wings of hers, and forces herself forward.

When the Psychic begins to wane, Dame pushes forward and rips across the stomach of Cass, giving it something to bellow about.

Dame smirked and stood over Cass's staggered body, continuing the close range barrage with a Sludge Bomb that caused the majestic dragon to cant it's head in pain. Cass shook away the brunt of the pain, but felt a weakening of it's immune system.

In response, a influx of energy came through that turbine of a tail and recycled out a sphere of energy so great that Dame was hard pressed to not just roll over and give up.

Cass was thankful for not being hindered by paralysis, but now there was a definite new fiend in the mix (-3)

Dame roars her delight over all this newshielding, and Cassinin looks to be about done with toying around. So with her energy rising, a wall of pure phantom waves flies up and forms into a sphere or dastardly power. This lightning fast Shadowball smacks Dame hard, causing her to spin as she falls. Opening her wings to absorb the centrifugal wind, she manages to change direction and steer herself into Cassini-biting and slashing and roaring all the way. (-1)

With Dame still trying to rip her a new one, Cass though it best to fling the beast away. So with her extremely mental prowess, she flings Dame high up and above. You do realize this, like most dragons...can fly, right Cass?

Dame stays aloft, and Focuses from that height. The beam of energy that slams into Cass is nothing short of horrific, and it leaves the pure white behemoth in a sea of smoldering rock. (-1)

Cassini barely stands up before Dame starts roaring immensely. Its as if she's calling for assistance from another realm. But Cass, she seems to recognize the roar, and its intent. Instantly, like Minute rice-Cass is up and speeding at Dame, only to have her wings give out to paralysis once more! The dragon spirals down, noting that its getting darker. She crash lands, and then is greeted by a denizen of space-a huge nickel based Meteor with the worst of intentions. Dame watched, even as the resulting collision caused an updraft of air to blast her even higher upward.

Once Dame recovered, she flew down to see the legendary Reshiram defeated.
